The School of Dental Medicine on the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus has openings for full-time temporary Administrative Assistant II position in support of the School’s response to COVID-19 and its clinical operations in the Orthodontic Department.  

 

Job Responsibilities

The purpose of the front desk position is to greet, direct and advise all persons entering the Department of Orthodontics through the reception area and inquiries by phone. This position offers information and directs calls and inquiries demonstrating knowledge of practice organization, policies and treatment options to facilitate efficient and professional patient/ student/faculty interaction. 

•    Patient/Faculty/Staff Check-In – Responsibility for asking and recording responses to screening questions, taking temperatures, ensuring compliance with mask wearing and greeting individuals upon entry to the building. 

•    Patient Scheduling – Responsibility for calling patient to provide information on protocols for arriving for an appointment, assisting on the day of appointment with screening and taking temperatures

•    Social Distancing Monitoring – Responsibility for ensuring 6-foot distancing and one-way flowing throughout the building.   Ensure entrance and exiting through appropriate locations, and monitoring elevator capacity.  
 

 

 

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at $17.00-18.00 per hour.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:  
At least two year of administrative/clerical experience that is relevant to the job duties as outlined above.  Applicants must have familiarity working with a computer and software programs.  Flexibility and ability to adapt to constant change and direction.  Individuals must possess excellent customer service, conflict resolution and communication skills.

•    Skill with handling difficult situations with diplomacy and tact.  
•    Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and orally. 
•    Outstanding interpersonal and customer service skills.

Acceptable candidates must be willing to wear appropriate personal protective gear as outlined in CDC/School of Dental Medicine protocols and as required for the work assigned.  

Must be willing and available to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:    
Proficiency in the Spanish language
Prior experience in a healthcare setting
