Your opportunity:

ICUBE UTM is the home of entrepreneurship at U of T Mississauga and is part of the Institute for Management & Innovation. ICUBE at its core is a business accelerator that offers early-stage business development & commercialization services including an entrepreneurial curriculum, business advisory services, co-working space, expert speaker sessions, and a mentorship program. In this role you will work under the direction of the Assistant Director, and closely with the Director, to develop, organize and deliver impactful entrepreneurship programming to our clients and community members. You will have the opportunity to build on ICUBE's success and engage with our student and community partners to market our brand and recruit innovative teams.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Implementing communication plans that support strategic objectives
  • Advising internal stakeholders on strategic approaches and tactics
  • Fostering and maintaining networks to build capacity and collaboration
  • Coordinating tasks for projects and other strategic initiatives with stakeholders
  • Coordinating interview schedules
  • Analyzing andmaking recommendations for programming enhancements
  • Implementing plans and process improvements for program activities
  • Producing promotional and outreach materials


Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field is required or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum four years of related experience.
  • Experience working in an entrepreneurship environment providing client programming and support.
  • Ability to work well with numerous partners in a team setting.
  • Strong communications and marketing skills.
  • Experience coordinating projects.
  • Experience managing events.
  • Excellent organizational, time management and professional presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, and proficiency with databases.


Assets (Nonessential):

  • Experience working with post-secondary students in an entrepreneurship environment would be an asset.
  • Experience using Adobe Suite products, including Illustrator and Dreamweaver, Content management systems, Customer relationship management products.
  • Aptitude or interest in creative web design, search engine optimization and social media.
