Educational and Experience Requirement:

Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or other related field. Master’s preferred. Six years relevant experience in management, recruiting, sales, or related fields. A combination of education, experience, and training that would produce the required knowledge and abilities could be considered.

Nature & Purpose of Position:

Performs advanced recruiting and managerial work administering the daily operations and activities of the Employee Business Service Center.

Primary Responsibilities:

Manages activities of staff in the Employee Business Service Center, while serving as primary human capital recruiter for the University. Establishes goals to meet institutional employee business service and talent acquisition objectives as defined by the AVP of Human Resources. Actively engages in, models, and trains staff in providing superior employee customer service. Oversees and approves schedules, priorities, and standards for achieving goals. Plans, implements, coordinates, monitors, and evaluates policies and procedures and monitors compliance. Identifies areas of needed change, makes recommendations to improve operations and implements changes in collaboration with institutional partners. Identifies, makes connections, and maintains engaging and ongoing contact with prospective employees through frequently attending in-person events, job fairs, meetings, and telephonic, social media or other communications. Tracks prospective, newly hired employees, internal promotions, and retention of current employees. Works with departments on unique and hard-to-fill positions to analyze and troubleshoot postings/processes, design, and place advertising, and engage prospective candidates. Liaise with the hiring department and Human Resources to facilitate job candidate experience and employee onboarding. Coordinates and evaluates department business functions. Monitors expenditures. Plans, assigns, and supervises the work of others, while also participating in business processes. Oversees the timely preparation of talent tracking, services, management, and productivity reports and studies. Manages programs focusing on continuous process improvement. Oversees staff development plans and activities. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Other Specifications:

Knowledge of local, state, and federal laws. Demonstrated commitment to institutional values and goals of diversity and inclusion. Excellence in verbal and written communications, customer service, problem-solving, and presentation skills required. Ability to manage personnel and business functions and use Microsoft Excel required. Knowledge of PeopleAdmin, Ellucian Banner, Cornerstone and/or other recruiting software preferred.
