The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology is a clinical science department within the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University. The primary functions of the department are teaching obstetrics and gynecology to medical students, resident physicians, post graduate students, nurses and other allied health professionals; providing clinical service to the region; and supporting research activities.Job Duties :
The Patient Access Representative serves as the Referral Coordinator for the Brody Outpatient Center. This position manages all aspects of incoming referrals including patient registration, appointment scheduling and indexing records. The selected candidate will work, in collaboration with other healthcare professionals, to ensure the patient’s needs and operational standards are met. The ideal candidate will be highly organized and self-motivated, have the ability to multitask and work independently. The individual has to have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively and professionally by telephone and in person with faculty, staff, residents, students, patients and the general public.Minimum Education/Experience:

The ECU Brody School of Medicine is affiliated with Vidant Medical Center. Vidant Medical Center is the flagship hospital for Vidant Health and serves as the teaching hospital for the Brody School of Medicine at East Carolina University.
