Facilities & Events Assistant - 502031

SUMMARY

The Facilities & Events Assistant will assist the Coordinator of Facilities & Events with game day operations for all home athletics events as well as athletic facility management and maintenance.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Game Day Operations/Events

  • Assist the Coordinator of Facilities & Events with overall game day operations at various home athletic contests
  • Plan and schedule staffing needs for various home athletic contests
  • Assist with facility preparation for various home athletic contests

Facility Operations

  • Submit web-based work orders for various facility repairs
  • Coordinate team practice schedules at the various athletic facilities on campus

Event Staffing Supervision

  • Supervise game day staff at Olympic Sports events (scoreboard operator, event technician, and public address announcer)
  • Work with RMC Events personnel during events staffed by RMC Events

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be able to work outdoors and perform light lifting.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products as well as the ability to learn, understand, and administer the campus scheduling software, EMS.
  • Candidates must be highly motivated, energetic, and be able to manage a work schedule that includes nights and weekend work.
  • Adherence to all applicable NCAA, conference, and institutional rules and regulations is required.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • A high school diploma, or the equivalent, is required
  • Bachelor’s degree is preferred

WORK HOURS:

  • Part-time, non-exempt position
  • Schedule varies; this position works less than 1,000 hours per year
  • Must be available to work nights and weekends, as needed

SALARY STRUCTURE:
Pay Grade 2 (Hiring Range $14.70 to $17.29 per hour)
