Responsibilities and Duties
Compiles and maintains records related to administrative processes associated with program assessment, evaluation, accreditation, and clinical education. Enters data related to program accreditation and prepares reports.  Supports programs with specialized advising needs: provides accurate information to students regarding university policies, procedures, academic requirements, campus resources, and degree completion planning.  Maintains confidential student files; utilizes various software platforms, including, but not limited to, PeopleSoft, Student Success Collaborative, CAATE eAccreditation, Microsoft Excel to manage and report data.  Coordinates administrative processes and/or marketing efforts involved in supporting academic programs with tasks related to recruitment, selection, admission, registration, orientation, and progression of students.  Assistance with coordination of department activities, management of room reservations, inventory of instructional supplies and equipment, scheduling of equipment calibration and safety checks, and basic knowledge of Kinesiology Department operations. Initiates routine communication; receives, screens, and responds to inquiries on the phone or in writing; provides general information about departmental programs; maintains department/program communication regarding admissions requirements, basic academic policies, general program information, and routine email/letters/phone scripts. Develop and distribute alumni information and materials and monitor fundraising efforts. Additional program support duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills
Successful candidates will

  • Have a Bachelor's degree and at least two years of related work experience
  • Possess excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Be able to work both collaboratively and independently, and effectively prioritize key tasks, shifting to higher priority if needed.
  • Pay attention to key details, be able to multi-task and possess strong organizational and time managment skills to meet required deadlines
  • Be a team player with a strong work ethic and ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Have strong customer service skills, on the phone, through email and in persons and be interested in and attentive to cross-cultural communication
  • Actively contribute to the office welfare in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
  • Possess strong analytical skills and the ability to work independently
  • Demonstrate familiarity and proficiency with the use of technology, a variety of software programs and standard office
  • Willingness to be creative, develop efficient practices and systems and learn new skills
