The Department is accepting applications to fill quarterly (Fall/Winter/Spring) lecturer appointments as needed for the online Master of Applied Geospatial Information Systems and Technologies (MAGIST) program. Qualified candidates for quarterly MAGIST lecturer appointments will hold a Ph.D. and possess substantive teaching, professional, and/or research experience and expertise with geographic information systems (GIS) and geospatial technology. Courses assigned may be instructed remotely or in-person as needed. Previous university-level GIS teaching experience is preferred. Applicants interested in MAGIST lecturer appointments, both remote and in-person, should submit a brief supplemental statement (not to exceed one page) specifically describing prior GIS-related teaching, research, and professional experience.
