Financial Associate 2 - College Access and Persistence Services (CAPS) Outreach Center

Regular, Full-time, Market Range 05

This position coordinates and performs accounting of financial records in the CAPS Outreach Center under the general direction of the Business Manager. Responsibilities include compiling budgetary data, setting up account books and posting expenditures to account ledgers. Maintaining records of procurement card, preparing reports for each project monthly and at the end of the budget cycle, paying invoices, processing transfers, entering cash deposits, processing petty cash reimbursements, processing contracts, managing records for equipment inventories, and reconciling expenditure ledgers monthly, etc.



Qualifications
Position Requirements

Required Qualifications:

High School diploma or GED, 4 to 5 years of experience in a position that requires accounting skills.

Knowledge and mastery of standard accounting principles.

Effective organizational, prioritization, problem-solving and communication skills (both oral and written).

Ability to work independently and as a team player.

The ability to adapt to changes that might occur in the office environment and meet deadlines.

The ability to expand knowledge in needed areas such as learning new software programs.

Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, and Access Database). Proficient with spreadsheets.

Ability to compile data and generate reports.

Ability to take initiative.  

Preferred:

Associate or Bachelor’s Degree in Business, accounting or related field.

Knowledge of IRIS (SAP), UT fiscal and human resources policies and Uniform Guidance,

Previous University experience.
