Job Description:


POSITION: Part-Time Assistant Volleyball Coach: Staff Assistant; Athletics Department; Non-Unit Professional Position; 18 hours per week; Haverhill campus.


RESPONSIBILITIES: This position will report to the Director of Athletics. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:


  • Assist with management of the program in accordance with NJCAA, MCCAC, and Northern Essex Community College regulations and policies
  • Assist in the planning of practice sessions, contest strategies
  • Fundraising
  • Recruiting
  • Advising team members
  • Required to attend department meetings


Requirements:


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Associate's Degree or two years of college credit
  • A background in the sport of Volleyball as coach and/or athlete
  • An appreciation for Junior College athletics and demonstrate a sincere commitment to principles of academic/athletic integrity
  • Must have a valid driver's license

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Bilingual or Bi-cultural (English/Spanish).
  • Experience working with and supporting a culturally diverse, urban population in a Hispanic-Serving Institution.

BACKGROUND CHECK: Candidates will be required to pass a CORI and SORI check as a condition of employment.


COVID VACCINATION: Candidates for employment should be aware that all Northern Essex Community College students, faculty and staff are required to be fully vaccinated by January, 2022. Accordingly, initial employment is dependent upon receipt and verification of full vaccination status records; details of how to fulfill vaccine record verification requirements will be provided during the hire and onboarding process.
