Job Description
  • To assist the State of Missouri in the implementation of a state-wide system of technical assistance related to School-Wide Positive Behavior Support (SW-PBS) at Tiers 1, 2 and 3. Work shall primarily focus on building state-wide capacity for training, coaching and technical assistance delivery by the Regional Professional Development Centers (RPDC) School-Wide Positive Behavior Support Consultants.
  • Work in conjunction with MO School-Wide Positive Behavior Support staff to achieve goals of initiative related to Tier 1, 2 and 3 development and dissemination.
  • Develop training materials and curriculum, both hard copy and virtual.
  • Provide training and technical assistance to MO School-Wide Positive Behavior Support staff
  • Create and complete reports and assessments of progress.
  • Provide training and support in effective leadership practices, including evaluation processes:
  • Attend and actively participate in all DESE required statewide meetings/trainings:
  • Actively participate as a regional collaborative team member in all meetings/collaboration of the South Central RPDC.
  • Represent the South Central Regional Professional Development Center and the Missouri University of Science and Technology in a positive and appropriate manner.
  • Serve as an ambassador for the Department of Elementary and Secondary Education by promoting and supporting the goals and objectives of the Department.
    Minimum Qualifications
    • A Bachelor's degree in related/relevant area and at least two years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.
    • Current valid Missouri Teacher Certification.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Master’s degree in a related/relevant area is preferred.
    • Administration experience.
    • Two years of professional educator experience.
    • Knowledge of MO Educator Evaluation System.
    • The ability to operate a motor vehicle and to load/unload presentation materials and to set up technology for presentations.
    • Presentation and facilitation experience with large and small groups.
    • The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
