Job Summary

Service Desk employees are Housing and Residence Life student-staff members that play a critical role for the safety and security of the residential communities, residents, guests, and housing staff. Service Desk employees will assist the Residence Hall’s leadership team in Service Desk operations, possess knowledge of and uphold University policies, rules, and regulations, follow proper service desk procedures, and provide quality Customer Service. Housing and Residence Life requires the Community Assistant to be a highly skilled and knowledgeable staff member who can and will respond to a variety of situations in a professional manner.

Required Qualifications

Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours of class at UWG, may not be part of the Move-On When Ready Joint Enrollment program, and must have overall 2.0 GPA.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference given to continuing employees of HRL in good standing and to students who live on campus.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

All training is provided, but candidates must demonstrate that they can learn and implement complex administrative processes.

Physical Requirements

Service desk employees will usually be sitting behind a desk, but may be asked to perform other tasks around the residence halls as well.

Special Applicant Instructions

Employees must report to training July 28 and July 29. Early move in will be provided for employees living on campus in the fall.
