Job Summary

FWS Student Assistant positions include standard, routine duties which are out lined by the Coordinator of the program. Most often, FWS Student Assistant positions work with other students and are supervised by the GA or Coordinator of the specified program in the Center for Academic Success. This position does require the candidate to be eligible for Federal Work Study.

Required Qualifications

Must be a current University of West Georgia student enrolled for six credit hours and maintaining at least a 2.0 cumulative grade-point average unless otherwise indicated by the hiring coordinator in the Center for Academic Success department.

Must be eligible for Federal Work Study.

Minimum GPA set by program qualifications. Contact Coordinators for specific GPA requirements in the Center for Academic Success.

Preferred Qualifications

Mentoring experience, computer skills, problem solving skills, project planning, preparing presentations, research experience, clerical experience, assistive technology, familiarity with campus services

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Google Suite knowledge would be useful, must feel comfortable using a computer and learning to work with a scanner.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift 15lbs, move about the office freely, able to maneuver across campus in a timely manner, and communicate without restriction.
