The Assistant Director of Greek Life / Residential Coordinator is a full-time live-in University administrator reporting to Residence Life and the Center for Student Engagement.
As the Assistant Director of Greek Life, responsibilities include providing key high-quality programs and services for six national fraternities and four national sororities. Coordinates and promotes all aspects of fraternity and sorority life including programming, Greek housing and recruitment events. Advises the Panhellenic and Interfraternity Council and provides training and oversight to help Greek organizations live out their values on campus. Serves as the on-call administrator for Greek social events and is part of the emergency response team for student life. Responsibilities assigned within Student Engagement constitute 1/4 to 1/3 of the position.
As a Residential Coordinator, responsibilities include management of one residence hall of 150 students. Works within Residence Life in areas of residence hall administration, staff supervision, crisis management/referral, monitoring health and safety standards, upholding community standards, and assisting in Student Life collaborative events and functions. Includes establishing a strong resident assistant staff team, providing leadership in the delivery of social an educational programming and events within the hall, coordinating and tracking hall programs, advising Hall Council, participating in shared on-call duty, and holding student discipline meetings. Each Residential Coordinator coordinates a segment of central residence life functions such as Resident Assistant selection and training, summer conference/housing, department marketing and communications, student organization advising, and/or other duties as assigned.
Candidates must demonstrate strong supervisory and organization abilities, as well as professional verbal and written communication skills. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products and social media is necessary. Direct experience in working with college student populations, Greek life, residence life management, and implementing co-curricular programs is preferred. Must hold a valid driver’s license.
