Position Summary
Please note this position is based in Glenwood Springs, CO and requires Saturday availability during the academic school year. Flexible hours Monday through Friday.
Under the direction of the Western Colorado MSW Program Assistant Director, the Western Colorado MSW Program Coordinator will provide coordination and coverage of program activities. The Program Coordinator is responsible for ensuring the operational success of program functions during class times. Additionally, the Program Coordinator is present for the weekend-based program on Fridays and Saturdays throughout the academic school year to support students, faculty, and staff in all aspects of program operations. Under the direction of the MSW Program Director and Assistant Director, the Program Coordinator is responsible for managing program internal and external program communications and coordinating student and faculty services on-site. The Program Coordinator provides supervision to student employee(s) as needed. The Western Colorado MSW Program Coordinator will serve as the programs primary support person to the GSSW Western Colorado student, faculty and staff communities. The position is responsible for coordinating events and opportunities for the GSSW Western Colorado MSW Program and outreaching to prospective students.
This is a non-benefited position not to exceed 1,000 hours in a calendar year.

Essential Functions

  • Coordinates educational and administrative components of the Western Colorado MSW Program.
  • Coordinates marketing efforts including facilitating publicity, distributing recruitment materials and program information, and providing individualized information to potential students.
  • Coordinates prospective student webinars and informational sessions within Western Colorado communities.
  • Manages and tracks prospective student information in Slate and provides communications support for engaging with prospective students
  • Oversees implementation of student services and resources in conjunction with GSSW Assistant Dean of Students and the Western Colorado MSW Program Director and Assistant Director
  • Supports adjunct faculty teaching in the offsite program including the coordination of materials and resources.
  • Managing instructors with group facilitation and educational tasks as needed.
  • Support culturally responsible programming, targeting student support and persistence for all GSSW students.
  • Assist the Western Colorado MSW Program Director and Assistant Program Director with planning and implementation of new student orientation
  • Participate in the planning and manage implementation for all events at the Western Colorado MSW Program
  • Support implementation of EAP student services for Western Colorado MSW students
  • Concur and reimbursements for programmatic expenses and for GSSW Western Colorado Graduate Student Association

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree from accredited institution
  • Demonstrated proficiency in computer applications (Microsoft suite)
  • 2 or more years of administrative experience including front-line customer service and project coordination in a professional or academic setting.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Three to five (3-5) years working in higher education
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Canvas and Zoom applications

Hourly Range
The hourly range for this position is $18-24.
