Job Description

This position provides administrative support and program coordination for both the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics and the Center for Health Insights. This individual provides essential daily support for the department chair, 30+ faculty, staff, and research associates. Additionally, many of the responsibilities and actions of this position have broader impact affecting the research and teaching of faculty, students and staff beyond school of Medicine and UMKC.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Manages data management initiatives, makes decisions and assignments regarding requests for core research services (biostatistics consults, REDCap – research data management)
  • Supports faculty in Canvas course development and maintenance
  • Development and launch of online teaching recordings and research surveys
  • Develops and updates website resources
  • Responsible for financial transactions that impact departmental and funded research accounts
  • Coordinates schedule for required committee meetings and functions (curriculum, advisory, admission)
  • Primary point of contact for information and communication with faculty, staff, and external partners and customers
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience and at least 2 years of experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Three or more years in administrative support role, project management experience, ability to manage program budget expenses.
  • Strong Microsoft Office skills, attention to detail, excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Salary

$15.29/hr - $16.78/hr
