Independently review and determine requirements for initial employment for all personnel actions. Demonstrating a strong understanding of the personnel policies and procedures, enter data into the on-line personnel/payroll system all personnel forms for the complete employment cycle including the initial new hire; reclassifications; transfers; promotions; and separation. Compensation Range: Hourly: $25.62 - $37.64 Department Website: Required: 3-5 years of related work experience with BA/BS or equivalent combination of education and experienceBachelor's degree in related area and/or equivalent experience/training.Ability to use sound judgment in responding to issues and concerns.Solid communication and interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with all levels of staff verbally and in writing.Solid organizational skills and ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.Working knowledge of common organization-specific and other computer application programs.Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality.Demonstrated experience using and knowledge of Excel, Access, Word, and Outlook application’s.Computational ability to determine payroll information, maintain accurate records, and conduct required analyses.Strong customer service skills. Strong attention to details.Demonstrated ability to analyze information, problems, complex policies, and procedures to define the problem or objective, identify relevant concerns or factors; formulate logical objective conclusions and recognize alternatives and their applications.Skill in troubleshooting and problem solving in non-standard, urgent, conflicting and/or unexpected circumstances.Demonstrated ability to work independently and follow through on assignments with minimal direction.Demonstrated skill in establishing and maintaining file systems, both paper and electronic.Strong communication skills necessary to communicate effectively and diplomatically with different levels of people and language background.Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with faculty, administrative, research and technical staff and students.Demonstrated typing skills to prepare documents with speed and accuracy.Writing skills sufficient to prepare concise, logical, and grammatically correct correspondence, administrative reports, policy guidelines and procedures.
