Position Summary:

Performs professional level accounting work in the maintenance of accounting and fiscal records. Responsibilities are to obtain revenue from internal and external billings and to pay invoices by verifying and completing accounts payable and receivable transactions. Ensures compliance with NCAA, SEC and UGA rules and regulations pertaining to all areas of the Athletic Association.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

The position entails extensive knowledge in the area of accounting and the ability to maintain the financial status of a variety of statements and records. Manage payments, deposits, entries and adjustments have to be maintained and adjusted on a daily basis. Strong computer skills.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Daily accounts payable duties for assigned sports to include preparing accounts payable payment requests and coordinating accounts payable activity. Preparing purchase requisitions and responsible for receipting invoices for purchase orders in policy with designated invoice submission methods with appropriate approvals. Responsible for performing review and approval of assigned vendor payments and ensure proper use of accounting codes and general ledger chartstring.
