Position Summary:

The foundation fund manager position will serve as the manager of the Foundation Fund Management (FFM) team and is considered a hands-on, high-level responsibility position that reports to the Sr. Director for Finance and Administration for all foundation accounting including monitoring and projecting all foundation account spending for accuracy and compliance with both UGA and UGA Foundation policy and donor fund agreements. This position serves as the contact between the Franklin College Business Office (FCBO) and the UGA Foundation (UGAF). The position provides support for all gift-related transactions and all expenditure, budget, and fund-related transactions. This position will work collaboratively with the Franklin College Development Office, FCBO and departments to ensure we are being good stewards of donor funding. This position manages and prepares monthly reconciliation and projection reports for the unit’s foundation accounts and will aid faculty and staff regarding policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

•Direct experience in the area of UGA Foundation fund administration
•Demonstrated experience in coordinating and managing multiple competing projects in an organized, efficient manner by prioritizing tasks to meet deadlines
•Acting independently and exercising sound judgment with sensitivity to identify matters that require higher-level management consultation
•Solid knowledge of UGA and UGAF policies related to foundation funds
•Experience managing and developing budgets
•Demonstrated experience performing analysis involving programmatic and fiscal considerations resulting in the formation of action plans
•Strong attention to detail
•Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to interact with a variety of personalities at all levels, exercising tact, confidentiality, sound judgment, diplomacy, and flexibility to promote positive working relationships and job effectiveness

Duties/Responsibilities:

•Maintain the master budget for all foundation funds within assigned cluster
•Review, forecast and manage budgetary processes for foundation funds. This includes aiding departments in managing the annual spending budget for endowed funds.
•Work with FAST on ensuring that foundation funding is incorporated into the annual budget picture for departments within cluster
•Work with SR Financial Director on using foundation funding to support the annual goals of Franklin College.
•Management and monthly reconciliation of all departmental foundation funds (endowed and spendable). Ensure that all expenditures and gifts are accurately posting to the appropriate fund both within UGA Financials and FAME
•Provide monthly financial reports to faculty members and department heads
•Serve as the key liaison between UGA Foundation, departments, and other colleges regarding all foundation administration questions
•Work closely with FAST to oversee processing of all scholarships and awards.
•Work with BPAT, FAST and P&P teams to ensure all HR/payroll actions are processed that involve Foundation funds.

• Manage the Foundation Fund Administrator position
• Provide positive leadership and supervision to staff that inspires teamwork, service and a productive work environment
• Analyze, evaluate, and improve Foundation Fund Management Team procedures and practices
• Prepares process maps and supporting documentation to improve business operations
• Training and Assessment
o Conduct performance reviews; Oversee professional development and mentorship
o Identify training needs within Foundation Fund Management Team
o Build monthly, quarterly and annual training program(s)
o Plan and implement training programs
 Prepare and deliver training courses in various formats using relevant training materials such as text, handouts, class exercises
 Bring guest presenters if necessary
o Track employee success and progress
o Support the ongoing development and implementation of comprehensive outcomes assessment programs for all the FCBO that support the goals the college’s and university’s strategic
