Assistant to the Head Coach, Technical Coordinator

Position Summary

The Department of Intercollegiate Athletics is searching for an Assistant to the Volleyball Head Coach, Technical Coordinator. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensure official box scores and scoresheets are collected and distributed to coaching staff following each match; upload official box score and scoresheets to VolleyMetrics after each home match
  • Assist with individual player video preparation
  • Assist staff with on-campus recruiting ventures involving technology (video displays, recruiting videos, etc.)
  • Live code every contact in practices and games and prepare reports for coaches
  • Assistant with all aspects of video including: office organization, maintain and improve video library, breakdown film of opponents, post-game film breakdown/self-scout, assist/train interns and managers with video and technology systems (Data Volley and Volley Metrics), equipment set up, organize film and TV recording schedule.
  • Assist with the creation and management of the recruiting calendar
  • Organize campus recruit visits, including gameday itineraries
  • Quality control for all recruits to assure we have pertinent and accurate information (cell number, email, physical address, home address etc.)
  • Help organize and manage recruiting database
  • Assist with recruit correspondence, mailings, etc.
  • Stay current with Office of Compliance Services; maintain knowledge of NCAA and Big Ten Conference recruiting rules
  • Assist with player and non-game public appearances
  • Create education series on how to adapt to life after college
  • Assist with community service and outreach initiatives
  • Monitor class attendance and student-athlete class checks
  • Manage Name, Image & Likeness program such as: Oversee INFLCR and ensure student-athletes are tagged, assist with NIL programming and education sessions, develop social media plan for student-athletes utilizing INFLCR tools
  • Other duties as assigned by head coach
