Position Summary(Basic Job Function)

This is a temporary or an on-call position. Provides professional support. Responsibilities may include general business, construction, agricultural or other professional support functions. Term: Temps can work two (2) nine (9) month terms with a week break in service in between and at the end of the second term terminate for three (3) months or switch to an on-call. On-Call allowed to work 1039 hours in any twelve (12) month period.

Unit Position Summary

The Landscape Services Department is seeking a highly motivated and construction focused landscape architecture student to assist the Landscape Construction Manager with coordination of $2.5 million worth of hardscape improvements on campus. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience building relationships with teams; be motivated by constructing a site design rather than designing a site; have the ability to multi-task successfully and manage stressful situations professionally, and be able to demonstrate respectful and courteous people skills in every interaction.

Salary $20 to $24 per hour dependent on experience.

Work Hours & Days of Week

Employment Period Start: August 2021

Employment Period End: Position will require employee to work minimum 29/week, maximum of 40 hrs/week beginning in August

Work Week: Monday-Fri: 6 am to 2:30 pm (can be flexible)

*MSU student employees may work up to 29 hours/week while enrolled in classes

*Candidates must have a clean driving record per MSU vehicle operation guidelines. A background check of the driving record will be performed prior to hiring.

Salary: $20-$24/hr, depending on experience.
