Position Summary::

Primary duties will include all aspects of management relative to the Huxford Symphony Orchestra, including but not limited to: scheduling, auditions, repertoire selection, rehearsals, and concerts. Other teaching duties as required to fill load (specific to qualifications and abilities).

The University of Alabama School of Music invites applications for a full-time instructor for the 2021-2022 academic year. This position is a non-tenure earning, 1-year renewable appointment. Applicants must have documented experience as a resident conductor of professional level and academically related ensembles is required. The successful candidate will demonstrate a wide spectrum of success in the discipline of music. Appropriate terminal degrees required; Masters degree with professional experience minimum.

Prior to hiring, the final candidate(s)will be required to successfully pass a pre-employment background investigation.
