Job Summary

The Student Technology Services Coordinator serves as member of the Office of Information Technology Support Services Team. The portfolio of this position includes recruiting and training student workers to provide peer technology support to students at Georgia Gwinnett College, coordinating student staffing and support for computer labs, and overseeing the laptop checkout program. This position will also play a role in creating awareness of technology services available to students, and gauging student adoption and satisfaction with campus technology.

Responsibilities
  • Collaborates closely with Technical Support Services Team colleagues on technical support standards and processes
  • Coordinates student staffing and frontline support for computer labs
  • Coordinates laptop/device checkout programs
  • Develops and delivers the technical student worker training program
  • Helps develop content/resources such as student technology guide
  • Supervises technical student workers and serves as a escalation point for non-routine and complex requests
  • Serves as a resource for Office of Information Technology (OIT) projects and initiatives
  • Serves as a key contact for technology requests from students and student groups on campus
  • Helps track usage of campus technologies by students and other groups
  • Collaborates with colleagues to develop technology training resources for students
  • Helps create awareness of technology resources available to students
  • Helps gauge student satisfaction with campus technology offerings
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
  • At least 2 years of experience providing technical support for computers, software, and related technologies in higher education.
  • Some experience with supervision, ideally supervision of student workers
Conditions of Employment

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
