Job Summary

The Assistant Director of Admissions for Operations represents GGC in supporting the operational functions of the Office of Admissions, including the day-to-day operations related to all components of processing the admissions applications, documents, test scores, electronic data, and admission decisions. Also, the position supports the Associate Director of Admissions for Operations in the continuous evaluation of documentation, procedures, and strategies to meet recruitment, admission, and yield goals. The individual is expected to play a key role in fostering a positive work environment with the expectation of continuous improvement and first class customer service.

Responsibilities
  • Manage day-to-day processing activities, including task assignments and system imports of test scores and applications
  • Performs regular data integrity checks across all systems
  • Participate in the development and implementation of department procedures and strategies to increase efficiency and improve production in workflow
  • Develop training materials and provide continuous training for new hires, student workers, temporary workers, and staff
  • Supervise student workers and temporary workers
  • Serves as functional user lead for Ellucian Recruit CRM system maintenance, upgrades, modifications, and implementations
  • Serves as functional user lead for Georgia Best "Georgia Banner Enhancements" beta testing and modification updates to Banner Student System
  • Provide training and serve as liaison between Admissions and other enrollment services offices involved in the new student enrollment process
  • Serve as mentor to the Admissions Processing team members
  • Fulfill assigned processing duties
  • Perform other duties, as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • 4 Year / Bachelor's Degree
  • A minimum of two (2) years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • A minimum of two (2) years of relevant experience, preferably in an admissions setting
Conditions of Employment

Position may require local travel. Ability to lift and carry files and materials. Ability to move from one office to another office on campus. Adequate vision, hearing and manual dexterity to interact with people in person, on the phone and in writing. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job, with or without reasonable accommodations.
