Position Highlights:This position will provide senior administrative leadership to all graduate medical education (GME) programs at the University of Arizona College of Medicine-Tucson (UACOM-T). This position will support UACOM-T senior leadership with strategic and operational planning within GME and the college's clinical partners. This position will work with program and departmental leadership in faculty development and initiatives that contribute to the strategic priorities of UACOM-T and meet the requirements of the ACGME. This position will report to the Senior Associate Dean/ACGME Designated Institutional Official (DIO) for Graduate Medical Education.

Duties & Responsibilities:- Serves as member of GME Leadership Committee to monitor institutional and program accreditation status to ensure compliance with accrediting body (ACGME).
- Participates in the strategic and operational discussions regarding GME/COM-T/Banner.
- GME institutional liaison with regulatory agencies, accrediting bodies, affiliated institutions and university personnel.
- Manages and supports the activities of the COM-T Graduate Medical Education Committee (GMEC).
- Advises Senior Associate Dean, Program Directors, program and administrative personnel on all matters related to GME.
- Directs and advises Program Directors with respect to resident/fellow disciplinary actions.
- Develops, promotes, and implements initiatives for clinical faculty to proactively meet the ACGME Institutional Requirements for program improvement (educational strategies and teaching skills) and faculty development.
- Serves as liaison across undergraduate medical education (UME) and GME continuum regarding educational issues relevant to both communities.
- Oversees GME Mental Health and Wellness to ensure compliance with ACGME.
- Provide supervision and direction to the GME Senior Learning Specialist.
- Must be a MD or DO.
- Must possess an unrestricted medical license to practice in the State of Arizona (MD or DO).
- Must have or be eligible for a faculty appointment in College of Medicine – Tucson.
- Must have academic credentials that qualify for a faculty title at the rank of Associate Professor or higher.
- Must have five to seven years of related experience.
