The University of Toledo College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (CPPS), Department of Pharmacy Practice is seeking a full time, motivated professional for the position of Visiting Clinical Faculty (Open Rank)/Clinical Pharmacist, in Inpatient Internal Medicine or related clinical area.

This individual will teach in the CPPS PharmD program and will work collaboratively with one of the inter-professional inpatient teams within the University of Toledo health care system.
CPPS clinical faculty currently round on inter-professional teams in multiple locations (inpatient and ambulatory settings) at the University of Toledo Medical Center and affiliated clinics as well as the Promedica Health System hospitals and clinics.
The Clinical Pharmacist duties includes medication review and reconciliation, medication and dosing recommendations, therapeutic drug monitoring, provision of drug information, and patient education.
The candidate will also be responsible for nurse, physician, and pharmacy staff development; coordinating and conducting quality initiative projects and developing collaborative treatment and research protocols.
The academic responsibilities of the clinical faculty member (Visiting Clinical Assistant/Associate Professor) include teaching in the classroom and skills-based laboratory portions of the didactic curriculum, and precepting entry level Doctor of Pharmacy students (IPPEs and APPEs) and PGY1 residents.
Scholarly activities, including presentations and publications, are encouraged, and will be supported as well.
Both teaching and scholarly activities are considered part of this position’s commitment to the College of Pharmacy professional education program.
Academic rank appointment will be commensurate with experience.

PharmD degree and PGY1 Residency required.
PGY2 residency and teaching / academic experience (e.g., TLCP certificate) preferred.
