The UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music's Global Jazz Studies IDP invites applications for a part-time lecturer position in Instruction in Advanced Jazz Performance: Guitar for the 2021-22 academic year. Salary commensurate with applicant qualifications and experience; percentage of appointment commensurate with teaching load.
Applicants should have advanced expertise in group and solo performance of a diverse mixture of Jazz guitar at the university level. Responsibilities will include individual student instruction. University teaching experience preferred. A bachelor's degree preferred.
Applicants should submit the following items: a cover letter stating interest in the position, a comprehensive curriculum vitae, a statement of teaching philosophy, and a statement of contribution to diversity.
