The primary functions of this position are to (1) act as lab manager and coordinate and support the basic needs of the research group, including ordering and receiving lab supplies, maintaining lab equipment, and preparing solutions and DNA constructs, (2) manage the mouse colony, and (3) drive a research project (collect, analyze, and interpret data, and present data at group meetings) concerning the molecular mechanisms of neuronal autophagy.Job Description
Perform lab management duties including ordering/receiving lab supplies and maintenance of lab equipment; manage a mouse colony of approximately 50 cages: includes breeding, genotyping (including ear clipping), and setting up timed pregnancies; drive a research project concerning the molecular mechanisms of neuronal autophagy: collect, analyze, and interpret data, and present data at group meetings; prepare solutions; DNA construct experiments: design and clone, verify construct in cells, troubleshoot results.
Bachelor's Degree with 0-1 year of related experience in research and clinical study methodologies or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
This position is contingent upon funding.
