TemporaryEssential Job Duties:
This position will prepare rental vehicles for motor pool customers and university owned vehicles and equipment. Conduct light vehicle maintenance and provide assistance to the motor pool and fuel island customers on a daily basis. Ensure each vehicle is cleaned inside and out; all fluids are at the manufacturerâ€™s specified levels and all tire pressures (including spare) are correct. Perform minor Preventative Maintenance replacing light bulbs and windshield wipers, filling out vehicle preparation checklist for each vehicle cleaned. Will keep wash bay clean and organized, maintaining an inventory of car cleaning supplies and keeping supply cabinets organized. Maintaining water reclaim system for our car wash. Conducting monthly inspections of car wash and fuel island. Driving vehicles to/from the Motor Pool area.Is Time Limited:
The position will require superior attention to detail in performing light maintenance and cleaning (interior/exterior) of various types of cars, vans, trucks, and equipment in our Motor Pool fleet.
Inspect the vehicles for damage, equipment problems, or failure and inform Supervisor and/or bus dispatcher
