Positions are available at the Union campus as well as Kean Ocean, Kean Skylands and other locations where indicated.
School of English Studies
English as a Second Language - to teach various ESL courses (speaking/listening, reading and writing). Special requirements for this position include being available for morning and afternoon classes. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in using technology in the classroom, including Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard or Canvas. Courses are to be taught in-person at the Union campus.
School of English Studies - to teach Introductory Composition courses and World Englishes. Preference will be given to candidates with a strong background in using technology in the classroom, including Learning Management Systems, such as Blackboard. Courses are to be taught in-person at the Union campus. Teaching World Englishes requires a doctorate in a related field.
Classes begin September 1, 2021. All positions require a Master’s degree in a related field and teaching experience unless otherwise indicated; candidates with an ABD, Ed.D., Ph.D. or other acceptable disciplinary doctorate are encouraged to apply. Proficiency in Blackboard and Online Learning Pedagogy is required of all adjuncts, consistent with University guidelines. Kean may offer free voluntary Blackboard workshops to otherwise qualified applicants.
