GENERAL JOB SUMMARY:

Provide HR support in the areas of recruitment and selection, coaching and development, continuous improvement, and performance management for The Hotel at Kirkwood Center.

  • DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Partner with departments to develop clear recruiting and selection strategies.Partner with Hotel management to ensure strategic HR goals, policies, and programs are aligned with business initiatives.Supervisor the administration department.Participate in the Manager on Duty Program for The Hotel.Coordinate interviews and participate in the interview process.Oversee the employee orientation/onboarding program. Provide coaching and counseling to leadership on HR policies and procedures, staffing and employment, training development, and employee relations.Oversee the performance evaluation process.Administer FMLA, Leave of Absenses, and Worker’s Compensation.Analyze data and make recommendations to management in an effort to streamline HR processes and procedures.Oversee the planning of employee events and programs.Perform other related work duties as assigned.

    PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS:

    Be able and willing to represent the College in a positive and professional manner.Proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office Software, especially Excel. Work effectively and accurately in an atmosphere of frequent interruptions be positive and helpful under the pressure of deadlines.Excellent communication skills (written and oral). The ability to work with minimal supervision. Strong organization and multitasking skills.Ability to read and understand complex written and verbal instructions.Must be accurate and detail oriented.Welcome, value, and nurture people of all backgrounds, perspectives, and experiences, as well as support and promote an environment that accepts differences.

    PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES WITH/WITHOUT REASONABLE ACCOMMODATION:


    Position involves working in an office setting. Occasional (10-33%) standing, pushing, pulling and grasping. Frequent (34-66%) reaching and viewing a computer and other types of close visual work. Constant (67-100%) sitting, walking, repetitive motion, talking and hearing.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors Degree in a related discipline or equivalent work experience preferred.
  • 2 years of Human Resources experience.
  • PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS, LICENSES, CERTIFICATIONS, OR REGISTRATIONS:

    Continuous Improvement/Lean experience preferred.
