Job SummaryThe Director of Recruitment Services is responsible for the overall operation and management of the Recruitment Department. This is a Professional Exempt Contractual (PEC) position for which an annual contract reflecting the base salary within the fiscal year (July 1st to June 30th) will be issued after ratification by Miami Dade College’s District Board of Trustees.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Hires, supervises, and evaluates personnel Prepares and maintains budgets and maintains accurate records of expenditures Resolves student issues and problems Develops and implements all activities related to the recruitment and enrollment of new students, as well as the orientation of new and former students Integrates all aspects of the campus community in the recruitment process as per a comprehensive enrollment management planServes as the primary contact for community outreach Serves on campus and college committees Responsible for the Marketing and communication Plan for the Campus Responsible for participation in all campus and community -wide activities Develops and implements strategies to attract students to the campus Serves as a liaison with area public and private schools Interprets and disseminates information regarding admissions policies and procedures Actively maintains a prospective student database Implements College policies, procedures and guidelines
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
- Master’s degree in Education, Psychology or other appropriate field and three (3) years of related experience; or Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology or other appropriate field and seven (7) years of related experience
- All degrees must be from a regionally accredited institution Knowledge of Microsoft office software and specific computer programs related to area of responsibility Excellent organizational and communication skills (both verbal and written) Ability to effectively present information to groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicAbility to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions for reporting purposesAbility to work a flexible schedule, including day, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work in a multi-ethnic and multi-cultural environment with students, faculty and staff
