A postdoctoral research associate or more senior research position is available in the Andlinger Center for Energy and the Environment at Princeton University. The postdoc will work in the lab of Professor Zhiyong Jason Ren and in cooperation with other team members on a collaborative Department of Energy (DOE) project.
The postdoctoral research associate will work on developing novel and scalable microbial electrochemical reactors and related processes to recover energy and resources from wastewater.
The successful candidate will have experience in microbial electrolysis cells, microbial electrosynthesis, electrofermentation, and other related skills. Ph.D. required in civil and environmental engineering, chemical and biological engineering or a related field. Knowledge and skills in reactor scaleup and pilot reactor design and operation are preferred. Applicants should have high self-motivation in research and demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
This appointment is for one year with the possibility of renewal pending satisfactory performance and continued funding.
