Job Description:ECU Campus Living is currently seeking Computer Lab Assistants.
The Computer Lab Assistants will work in the Campus Living Computer Lab in White Residence Hall and supervised by the Director of Housing Operations. Applicants with a basic knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office products is desired, but not required. Computer Lab Assistants often work with little supervision, so they need strong communication problem solving skills and the ability to arrive on schedule (organization/planning.) In addition, this position is responsible for the security of the equipment in the space and may be the only Campus Living representatives to students using the lab. Therefore, a high level of personal integrity and professionalism is required. The selected candidates will have the base skills and be provided with training to preform to high standards of customer service. Students enrolled in classes cannot work more than 25 hours in a work week.
The Computer Lab Assistant tasks include, but are not limited to:
• Maintain security of the equipment
• Report needed repairs or problems
• Report lab supply levels
• Assist students with use of printers and computers
• Answer general questions and provide good customer service
• Perform other general administrative tasks as needed
