Support Supervisor 1,  Warehousing/Surplus

Regular, Full-time - MR06

The Supervisor I will support the day to day operation of the Warehousing/Surplus Property Department.  This includes the pick-up of surplus property, warehouse check-in procedures, electronic and computer sanitization, on-line auction preparation, & general warehousing duties.

Check-in surplus property and prepare the items for on-line auctions.  Items will be unloaded from the truck by hand or with a forklift and placed in the designated areas within the warehouse.

Pick-up surplus property and learn the various departments within the campus.  Items will be transported from various locations to the Surplus Property Warehouse by truck.  This will require the potential candidate to possess a valid a non CDL driver license.

Learn the sanitization process for computers and various other electronic equipment.

Making pictures and posting auctions on-line.

Required Qualifications:

High School Education; Driver License

One year of Supervisory experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

One year experience of working in a warehouse using a forklift.

Candidate must possess interpersonal skills that will allow them to successfully communicate with a diverse group of employees and customers.  Strong organizational skills and the ability to complete basic paperwork related to the warehousing process is essential.  Must have the ability to learn warehousing policies and procedures and apply that knowledge on a daily basis. Valid Driver's license and successfully pass and maintain a forklift driving test. Prefer organizational skills associated with warehousing, forklift driving skills, and ability to take digital pictures.
