Department Information The Georgia Cyber Center is the single largest investment in a cybersecurity facility in the nation to date. The $100 million Georgia Cyber Center will help to fill the current and growing shortage of cybersecurity talent in the state and nation. The Georgia Cyber Center represents a unique public/private partnership that includes Augusta University, Augusta Technical College, the University System of Georgia’s research institutions, the City of Augusta, the Georgia Bureau of Investigation, and other state, federal, and private-sector partners working together to meet this workforce demand and to innovate, train, and strengthen defenses. The state-of-the-art Center is located in the growing cybersecurity corridor in Augusta, Georgia, that is also home to the U.S. Army Cyber Command and Cyber School of Excellence at Fort Gordon. The Center is located on the downtown campus of Augusta University and houses the School of Computer and Cyber Sciences. The Augusta Economic Development Authority (the AEDA) has received a nearly $9 million award from the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL) H-1B One Workforce Grant Program. The AEDA’s grant effort, which will govern the Georgia Cyber Center WorkForce's project, is focused on creating a strong and consistent pipeline of veterans and military spouses to fill key IT and cybersecurity roles at businesses throughout the CSRA.Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and two or more years' experience in administrative support, training, or other related job experience;ORAssociate's Degree from an accredited college or university and four years' experience in an administrative support, training, or other related job experience;ORHigh School Diploma, GED, or equivalent from a State or Federal accrediting organization and eight or more years' experience in administrative support, training, or other related job experience.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or University and two or more years' experience in administrative support, training, or other related job experience.
  • Valid CompTIA A+ and/or Network+, and/or Security+ certification or must obtain certification(s) within six months of hire date.
  • Knowledge of NIST frameworks, cybersecurity industry, key players, trends, and opportunities.
  • Experience presenting or facilitating training/courses.
  • Experience in utilizing learning management systems and other platforms to manage people and data.
  • Experience in IT or cybersecurity.

Responsibilities The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Administrative Reporting: Curate data and provide reporting per Department of Labor guidelines, summary presentations, and other requested program related materials; administer and record enrollment requests, program participation, and follow up with participants through the 2nd quarter after program completion; responsible for providing requests for purchase of training materials, and recording all course expenses for invoicing.
  • Training Preparation, Delivery, and Assessment: Delivers instructional content and training via multiple modalities including face-to-face classroom instruction, hybrid, asynchronous distance education, and synchronous distance education; responsible for preparing class syllabus, communications with students, classroom space, materials, or training areas prior to student arrival and subsequently complete all close-out activities for the classroom; responsible for applying instructional methods and adult learning models to training; conduct and assess student critiques to identify strengths, weaknesses, and actions to improve performance; responsible for reviewing a student's record for progression; preparing and filing required documentation on student prior to release from training. Schedule remedial training as needed; conduct academic counseling; review and grade homework projects and tests.
  • Workforce Assessment: Work with various private industry or non-profit businesses to develop objectives and scope for their organization's cybersecurity training needs; advise on budget and goal appropriate training plans to meet the objective for workforce needs.

Job Summary The Cyber Workforce Coordinator will be responsible for providing direct support for capturing, training and reporting workforce development efforts for the CSRA-Fort Gordon Cyber Workforce Initiative (CFCWI) under the One Workforce Grant awarded to the Augusta Economic Development Authority. The program and coordination requirements will consist of assessment of program participants, classroom training, career readiness workshops, and capturing all pertinent metric defined data for participants.Shift/Salary Shift: Mon-Fr; 8:00-5:00 (May be required to work outside normal business hours) Pay Grade: 15 This is a Grant Funded PositionSalary: $38,913/Annually - $52,533/Annually Salary to be commensurate with qualifications of selected candidate within the established range (generally minimum-midpoint) of the position Recruitment Period: 7/8/2021 - Until FilledConditions of Employment All candidates are required to successfully pass a Background Check review prior to starting with Augusta University.
