Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Police Dispatcher IOne year of experience in an appropriate field, such as a receptionist, office administrator and/or customer service representative. Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.Substitution:Course work leading to an Associate or Bachelor’s degree, or coursework in business, communications, computer science, law enforcement/police studies or closely related field or may substitute for the required experience on a year-for-year basis.Preferred Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor DegreeExperience in police radio/telephone communications equipment operationsPolice Dispatcher IIMinimum QualificationsTwo (2) years of experience in police radio/telephone communications equipment operations.Substitution:Course work in business, communications, computer science, law enforcement/police studies or closely related field may substitute for one year of the required experience.Preferred Qualifications:Associate or Bachelor DegreeTwo years of experience in police radio/telephone communications equipment operations at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus Police DepartmentSalary and Benefits:POLICE DISPATCHER I: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $34,200-$48,264 (non-negotiable).The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.POLICE DISPATCHER II: The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $36,756 - $51,888 (non-negotiable).The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.*This position is eligible for overtime compensation.PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
