Description:

The Clinton Early Learning Center (CELC) has an exciting opportunity for an Executive Director to join an amazing team. We seek a highly motivated, career oriented individual with strong communication and relationship building skills, a collaborative and team building approach to staff leadership, and demonstrated commitment to excellence in early childhood education.

Located in Clinton, NY, the Clinton Early Learning Center provides children with nurturing care and enriching educational experiences that promote children’s social, emotional, physical and cognitive development. The Center uses a holistic approach to drive quality programming and maintains an active engagement with, and connection to, the community. The CELC’s vision is to grow its inclusive high quality, comprehensive childcare service to better serve and engage all members of the surrounding area.

Under the direction of the CELC Board of Directors, the Executive Director is responsible for the daily operations, administration, management, program oversight, logistics, and regulatory compliance of the CELC in accordance with the mission and goals set forth by the Board of Directors. In addition, the Executive Director provides positive leadership and direction to a team of administrators, teachers and support staff to maintain a strong and focused team that delivers excellent service to students and develops positive relationships with all constituents of the CELC.

 Note: although the CELC is affiliated with Hamilton College, this position is not employed with the College.


Qualifications:

Successful candidates must have Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or related degree and two to five years of experience in a licensed childcare facility, must meet state OCFS requirements for early childhood teaching positions, and must maintain state in-service requirements. Equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
