Job Summary

The PA Small Business Development Center (PA SBDC) seeks a creative and thoughtful content strategist experienced with writing marketing copy in support of client goals and strategic organizational messaging. The Manager of Web Design and Digital Assets will be responsible for working closely with Lead Office staff and Center Directors to craft content that helps educate prospective small business clients while also supporting key strategic network messaging and helping to differentiate the SBDC experience.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Write compelling web-based marketing copy for SBDC programs to attract and educate small business clients that appeals to prospective clients and supports PA SBDC’s brand story;
  • Working with the State Director, ASD Policy, ASD Marketing and Center Directors, identify and prioritize areas of the PASBDC website in need of refreshed content;
  • Conduct necessary interviews to broaden the storytelling aspect of marketing content and obtain testimonials;
  • Fact check all content to ensure accuracy;
  • Manage, update and publish content (text, photos and videos) in the College’s CMS;
  • Work with marketing staff and videographer to fulfill video, photographic and design needs to complete website content work;
  • May perform other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Web Design, Marketing or related field with a minimum of three years writing experience;
  • Demonstrated experience writing for target audiences in digital environments;
  • Demonstrated experience using various media to tell an organization’s brand story;
  • Demonstrated experience editing copy for digital environments;
  • Demonstrated experience in SEO, Google Ad Words, and increasing website visibility;
  • Understanding of marketing and marketing trends.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Master degree in a digital media related field
  • Experience actively using a content management system to create and update pages on a website;
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, Canva, and Adobe CC;
  • Self-motivated with ability to work independently and collaboratively as an active member of a team;
  • Excellent customer relations skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with internal clients and external vendors as needed;
  • Passionate about editing, writing and grammar and familiarity with AP Style guidelines;
  • Detail oriented and willing to go the extra mile to ensure accuracy

This grant-funded management position has an anticipated starting salary of $56,789-$71,000 commensurate with skills and experience

Comprising five colleges - Visual and Performing Arts, Business, Education, Liberal Arts and Sciences, and Graduate Studies - Kutztown University offers a diverse range of excellent academic programs to prepare individuals for successful careers.
