The University of South Carolina’s Division of Human Resources is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as the Benefits Business Analyst. The Benefits Business Analyst will provide functional support to the Benefits PeopleSoft HCM module. Areas of support include, but are not limited to: ACA Administration, annual open enrollment process, Absence Management administration, and day to day HR and benefits business processes. The Benefits Business Analyst will work closely with other HCM functional and technical team members in the process of aligning the PeopleSoft system to stakeholder’s business needs. The Benefits Business Analyst will perform complex data analyses and create functional specifications, along with developing test requirements, test plans, and test scripts. The Benefits Business Analyst will work closely with PEBA (South Carolina’s Public Employee Benefit Authority) to ensure required updates are applied to the PeopleSoft system, and will support various system integrations. The Benefits Business Analyst will work closely with HR Information and Systems Manager in administering functional support for the various HR systems. The Benefits Business Analyst will play a key role serving as liaison between end user and technical resources.Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology Systems or related field and 2 years systems related experience; or equivalencyPreferred Qualifications:
Experience with ERP solutions such as PeopleSoft, SAP, or Workday, with a focus in Benefits modules and ACA administration.Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Experience with PeopleSoft HCM 9.x or higher a plus.
Ability to work in a professional and friendly manner, while working independently on multiple tasks and projects.Safety Sensitive or Security Sensitive:
Ability to effectively communicate with PeopleSoft HCM support for issue resolution, document and track issues, and follow through to resolution in a timely manner.
Ability to build complex spreadsheets for analytical purposes.
