Required Qualifications High School Diploma or GED from a recognized state or federal organization and three years' experience performing administrative duties in a professional office setting.Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
  • Timely and correctly updating student records
  • Ability to maintain student records in Banner, SLATE
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other computer software/databases
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational, customer service and multi-tasking skills
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and effectively communicate with diverse populations
  • Knowledge of AU policies and procedures with the ability to explain policies and procedures
  • Ability to analyze and prioritize tasks; determine appropriate solutions; and work independently
Preferred Qualifications
  • Associate's degree from an accredited college or university
  • Intermediate knowledge of computers and office equipment is needed
  • Preferably, skilled in Microsoft Excel, experience in customer service and/or records management
  • Must be detailed oriented
Responsibilities This position is responsible for processing applications, admissions requirements, related documents and daily data entry in student information systems. The individual will process documents with efficiency and timeliness, perform data entry with accuracy and quality, establish a strong understanding of office workflows and processes. The individual will assist in other areas during peak processing time and complete special projects. The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Assist with scanning, indexing, and all other data entry.
  • Prepare and maintain student files by managing flow of new documents, tracking transcripts, and updating checklists for all applicants and students.
  • Review and process applications for admission.
  • Perform quality control by generating reports to check files and/or database for data accuracy and completeness of files.
  • Work on special projects for reports, audits or other departmental request.
  • Carry out other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Admissions Processing Manager concurrently in a timely manner.
