Basic Function:

Assist the Eisner Center Operations Manager in planning, coordinating, implementing, and overseeing audience services, ticketing, and front of house logistics for the Departments of Music, Dance, and Theatre productions at the Eisner Center.

Essential Job Functions:

Serve as House Manager for most Eisner Center concerts and productions, which occur primarily on evenings and weekends. Recruit, train, and retain a student staff of ushers and ticketing assistants.
Establish a path for student leadership with increasing levels of responsibility for managing events, while ensuring professionalism for patrons.
Serve as the Eisner Center Box Office contact and provide phone and email assistance to patrons.
Build ticketed events in Eventbrite with various seating configurations for Eisner spaces, and work with departments to ensure advertising material contains ticketing information.
Train and supervise students in emergency procedures, ADA compliance, and a high standard of customer service.
Provide insight into the audience experience through developing feedback mechanism or patron analysis.
Create welcoming interactions with Denison students, and the greater community audiences.
Perform various administrative functions related to training and managing a student staff.
Assist with data entry, with room reservations, ticketing, and production tracking programs.
As this is a new position in a new facility, it is reasonable to assume that the duties may evolve over time.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

Knowledge of and experience working in a live event setting in a box office, or usher or manager capacity.
Flexibility of schedule and primary availability on evenings and weekends.
Possess or acquire CPR and basic first aid training.
Must have the ability to work cooperatively or independently as the need arises and have the ability to respond quickly to unrehearsed situations in live performances.
Excellent computer and technology skills, and comfort with the Eventbrite ticketing system.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience working cooperatively with faculty, staff, and students in presenting performances. Experience leading student employees from diverse cultural backgrounds, perspectives, and levels of experience. Experience in providing exceptional customer service and client relations.

Physical Demands:

Occasional moving of various items up to 30 pounds
Must negotiate stairs and stand for long periods
Able to work in performance areas with limited lighting
