Position Summary:

The Department of Criminology & Criminal Justice is seeking applications for a faculty position in the Emergency & Disaster Management Program. The position is for a 9-month tenure-track faculty member at the rank of Assistant Professor, beginning Fall 2022 semester.

This is a nine-month position with summer teaching opportunities available. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience. Responsibilities include teaching, research, and service. Candidates must have a Ph.D. in Emergency and Disaster Management (EDM), Criminology/Criminal Justice, Sociology, or other disciplines closely related to the field of Emergency & Disaster Management.

Candidates must have a clearly articulated research agenda in EDM. A generalist with a foundation in subjects such as the sociology of disaster, homeland security, and terrorism is desired. Highly-qualified ABD candidates will be considered if completion of the degree is imminent. The position is for the EDM residential program with some likely online teaching responsibility.
