The Department of Pediatrics, Section of Hematology Oncology Bone Marrow Transplantation has an opening for a full-time Post-Doctoral position. 

Nature of Work: 

  • This position reports directly to Michael Verneris, MD, Professor in Pediatrics Hematology/Oncology/Bone Marrow Transplantation and is responsible for developing and implementing projects for publication and presentation. Portions of this project will be performed in conjunction with Pharma.

Position Emphasis:

  • 100 % effort focused on studying the biology of off the shelf cell therapy, including CAR T cells, NK cells and allogeneic transplantation.

PLEASE NOTE: Candidates will be responsible for travel expenses related to the interview process and any relocation expenses, if applicable.

Salary and Benefits:

The salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established at $54,540 to $58,608.

The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, experience, education, specialty and training.

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited University with a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in either T cell or NK cell biology.
  • Experience with genomic/epigenomic/transcriptomic techniques.
Conditions of Employment: 

  • Must successfully pass a 10-panel drug test through Children's Hospital Colorado
  • Must be willing and able to pass a national criminal and sex-offender background check
Preferred Qualifications:

In depth experience in at least two of the following areas is desired:

  • Immune effector cell culture/manipulation
  • Murine allogeneic transplantation
  • Microscopy
  • Flow cytometry
  • Cloning
