Federal Work Study Student - General Lab Assistant/Physical Science

The Physical Science department is seeking (1) Federal Work Study student at 10 hours per week for the Fall 2021/Spring 2022 terms. Duties include: assisting with the setup and take down of the chemistry lab; restock supplies and ensuring the lab remains clean.

Completion of the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required. Must be dependable, responsible, and able to perform essential duties as described. Must be able to work around cleaning and laboratory chemicals. Be available several days per week to assist with laboratory needs.

$11.00 per hour

This position will be subject to a pre-employment criminal, sex-offender registry background check. In cases where pre-determined, an additional financial/credit history/ background check may be required as well. Convictions that have been sealed or legally eradicated and misdemeanor convictions for which probation was completed and the case was dismissed, will be excluded. Disclosure does not constitute an automatic bar to employment. Factors such as dates of the offense, seriousness and nature of the violation, rehabilitation and position applied for will be taken into account.
