Hofstra is a selective private university with 12,000 students (7,000 undergraduates) located 25 miles from New York City, providing excellent opportunities for collaboration with nearby universities and national lab facilities. The position includes teaching general chemistry lecture and lab courses. The Chemistry department offers undergraduate degrees in Chemistry, Biochemistry and Forensic Science. Teaching load is typically between 3 and 4 courses per semester: typical class size 10-50.
