POSITION ANNOUNCEMENT

The Office of the University Registrar at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, (UTK) invites applications and nominations for our Operations Coordinator, Timetable & Registration position. We are seeking candidates who can contribute in meaningful ways to the diversity and intercultural goals of the University.

The Enrollment Management (EM) division comprises more than 150 full-time staff who serve our students through the following departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, International Recruitment, Transfer Center, One Stop Student Services, Financial Aid & Scholarships, University Registrar, Enrollment Management Communications, Enrollment Management Research & Analytics and Enrollment Management Operations.

Functions and Responsibilities:
The Operations Coordinator (Timetable and Registration) is a direct report to the Associate Registrar for Operations and is a member of the Registrar’s leadership team. The position, in close collaboration with the Assistant Registrar for Operations, Associate Registrar for Operations and Deputy Registrar is responsible for the operational development and implementation of the timetable and registration processes, setting operational goals that support the university’s mission and includes recommending and implementing process improvements to make the functions more efficient and service-oriented.  This position is cross-trained in the department and serves as backup to other staff as needed. Works closely with colleges, academic advising, online and digital programs, New Vol Experience, and other student success and student life units.



Qualifications
Required Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree

-Minimum of 3-5 years student information system experience

-3-5 years of experience working in registration and academic course scheduling processes.

-Supervisory experience

-Experience working in continuing education, higher education administration, and/or a University Registrar's Office.

-Comprehensive understanding of academic policies and procedures

Preferred Education and Experience:
Master's degree

-5+ years of technical support experience in a large university

-5+ years of system administration experience with banner, Argos, TeamDynamix, or OnBase

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Advanced computer skills, including database administration.

-Experience with registration and academic course scheduling processes.

-Customer focused and proactive solutions oriented.

-Demonstrated excellent judgment and discretion.

-Motivated to learn new technology.

-Highly organized and detail oriented

-Excellent writing and communication skills.

-Knowledge of FERPA guidelines.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

-Working knowledge and experience with Banner Student Information System.
