The College of Engineering & Applied Science at the University of Colorado Colorado Springs (UCCS) will establish and maintain a pool of Lecturers for EAS Certification Preparation in Cybersecurity in The College of Engineering and Applied Science (EAS) from which future appointments to temporary, non-tenure track positions will be made. Appointments are part-time (less than 50% time) and will be made semester-by-semester. 

This position will teach classes for EAS Certification Preparation in Cybersecurity. Classes will be online but may be held in-person in the future. Examples of courses/subject area include the following:

    Security Plus (SEC+)Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)
This position has been determined to be exempt from the overtime provisions of the Fair Labor Standards Act.

Who We Are:


UCCS is one of four campuses in the University of Colorado system and is home to over 10,500 undergraduate and 1,900 graduate students. The College of Engineering & Applied Science offers an online Master of Engineering program in three (3) emphasis areas – engineering management, systems engineering, and Space Operations.

What We Offer:

Salary Range: $5,000-$7,000 per course. Compensation is determined by course taught and course duration.


Temporary Lecturer appointments are not eligible for group health and life insurance benefits or vacation leave accrual. This position is eligible for paid sick leave. Information on benefits, including eligibility, is located at: http://www.cu.edu/employee-services.

Physical Requirements

    While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to move. Employee is occasionally required to have long periods of sitting, moderate bending, and fine motor skills.The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
