Position SummaryInstructional responsibilities include teaching ENT 110 – Applied Entomology of Economic Plants (3 credits) for the Institute of Agricultural Technology during the Fall 2021 semester. The course will be delivered at Michigan. ENT 110 contact hours will be 1-hour lecture, recitation, or discussion per week and 2 hours of lab per week (3 hours of total contact time per week) for 15 weeks of instruction. The course will provide students with a basic understanding of Entomology. Topics that will cover are: Introduction to field diagnosticsBasic insect biology and anatomyBasic Entomology/making an insect collectionInjury symptoms on plantsInsect classification and ordersIntegrated Pest ManagementPesticides and pesticide safetyCommercial Pesticide Applicator Certification Beneficial InsectsInsect EcologyPosition is planned to recur every Fall SemesterEqual Employment Opportunity Statement

Minimum RequirementsExperience in the field of Entomology Knowledge and skills to develop and teach resources in Entomology Excellent oral and written communication skills
Desired QualificationsM.S. in Entomology or Ph.D. in Entomology Experience in development and assessment of learning outcomes Undergraduate teaching experience and a passion for teaching
