Summary:
The Data Integrity Specialist is responsible for executing, maintaining and developing internal and external interface loads and testing, conducting quality assurance checks/audits of the database system and develop an understanding of external key systems to work collaboratively with partners. This person should understand the connection between strong data and how it is a major part of how University Advancement reaches its objectives and goals.

Job Description

This Job Is For You If You Are Able To….

  • Conduct routine and scheduled database integrity checks and maintenance.
  • Run daily interface files from key systems (internal and external) and monitor them to ensure quality of and accurate transfer, integration, translation, and reporting of data, reacting promptly to data quality inconsistencies.
  • Identify data inconsistencies and problems and works with the Director of Records to define and execute processes to resolve those issues.
  • Facilitate process workflow modeling in order to collaborate on process improvements, automation capabilities and clearly defined end-to-end use case.
  • Assist with process and procedure creation and documentation for data integrity initiatives.
  • Assist with developing and executing test plans and helps ensure the quality and accurate delivery/transfer of test and production files.
  • Assist with creation and maintaining documentation of definitions and business rules required for data integration of system updates for University Advancement system and key external systems.
  • Maintain and update information on new and existing records as needed.
  • Perform other related work as assigned.

What Skills Do You Need?

  • Associates Degree or specialized training with two or more years related experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience using a relational database system.
  • Experience with queries/imports/exports
  • Intermediate knowledge in MS Excel, MS Word, Google Drive
  • Display careful attention to detail and accuracy in work habits.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to the highest ethical standards.
  • Possess a growth mindset; curiosity of the why and willingness to learn new skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work successfully in teams, in a collaborative environment and under own initiative.
  • Commitment to the mission and values of University Advancement and a commitment to equity, particularly racial equity, with a willingness to proactively learn about it and integrate it into all aspects of the work.
