The Program Office Coordinator supports activities that directly enhance the quality of the MBA student experience from application through graduation. In managing the front desk reception area of the MBA Program Office and MBA Admissions, this person is often the first point of contact for students, faculty, staff, prospective students, alumni and guests, and thus crucial in creating and promoting a welcoming and supportive environment. The Program Office Coordinator also provides general administrative support to keep the backend of the MBA Program Office running smoothly. Additionally, they serve as executive assistant to the Senior Associate Dean for MBA Programs. In this role, the Program Office Coordinator is responsible for calendar management, travel and events. In coordination with other Program Office staff, the Program Office Coordinator is also responsible for planning and managing special events, which may include, but are not limited to, end of term celebrations, office Hours, MBA Alumni Advisory Council meetings, and Dine with the Deans.

This position interacts with staff throughout the MBA Program Office, Admissions and Career Center, plus MSB offices like faculty services and building management, other university departments, and external vendors in order to meet the needs of Full-time and Flex MBA program students. The position reports directly to an MBA Program Office staff member, and indirectly provides support to the Associate Dean of MBA Programs.

The responsibilities of the Program Office Coordinator position, specifically front office management, will require a 7:30 a.m. starts while classes are in session.

Qualifications
  • Associate's degree and relevant professional experience are required.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, online databases such as procurement systems, calendar tools, website content management systems, and web searches are required.
  • possess strong customer service skills, demonstrated interpersonal and problem solving skills,
  • ability to multi-task, be highly organized, and a self-starter
  • .A bachelor's degree and 2 years' experience in a higher education or non-profit environment are preferred.
